Environemental Sensors

470-12 Sensors

Honeywell Water Sensor Honeywell’s 470-12 is designed to allow water or any conductive non-flammable liquid to be detected with low voltage and low current. It can monitor up to two sensor probes simultaneously. Ideal for basements, laundry rooms and kitchen or anywhere flooding is a possibility and early warning is desirable to prevent damage.

The 6271C touchscreen keypad makes it easier than ever for end-users to take advantage of their security system features. Even the most advanced functions are simple, with graphics and menu driven prompts guiding the user every step of the way.

FEATURES

  • Can monitor up to 2 sensing probes (470PB) simultaneously
  • Selectable (Hi or Low) sensitivity setting
  • Includes One 470PB external water probe
  • Includes Form C output relay

TS300 Sensors

Honeywell Temperature Sensor Honeywell’s feature-rich TS300 was engineered to meet the demands of a wide range of applications. From florists and butchers to pet shops, computer centers and residences, the TS300 provides uncompromising performance. Unique features such as simultaneous use of local and remote temperature probes, programmable hysteresis and audible alarm with silence timeout, illustrate the sensor’s flexibility in installation, programming and operation.

Flexibility
The TS300 allows the end-user to independently program local and remote temperature probes in accordance with varying environmental requirements.

Audible Alarm with Silence Timeout
The TS300 is equipped with an audible alarm which sounds once the temperature at an enabled sensor varies outside of its defined limits. The TS300 allows users to designate a “time-out” time. With the touch of a button, users may silence a sounding alarm for a period of time.

Versatility

The TS300 is a dual temperature sensor that has the capacity to simultaneously monitor both local and remote temperature probes.

Programmable Alarm Delay
Designed to reduce the occurrence of nuisance alarms during temporary conditions, this feature allows the user to delay the sounding of the alarm for a designated period of time. Routine task, which may cause the temperature to rise above or fall below the programmed alarm point, may be completed without generating an alarm.

Alarm Memory

Up to eight events are stored in memory. An alarm event is one where the relay output was activated.

Programmable Hysteresis
Temporary conditions often influence the gradual rise and fall of temperatures around the alarm point. Under such conditions, conventional sensors generate multiple alarms and restore messages. With the Programmable Hysteresis feature, an alarm is generated only the first time the temperature reaches the alarm point. As long as the temperature fluctuates within the “Hysteresis Range”, no subsequent alarms will be transmitted until the environment has reached the predetermined restore temperature.

5800CO Sensors

Honeywell CO Detector The 5800CO is a 3V battery powered wireless carbon monoxide (CO) detector intended for use with Honeywell alarm systems that support 5800 Series wireless devices. It provides early warning when its electrochemical sensing technology measures carbon monoxide levels in the air. The 5800CO is specifically designed for system operation and is fully listed to UL 2075 as a system supervised detector.* It contains a piezoelectric horn which generates the ANSI S3.41 temporal 4 pattern in an alarm condition.

The detector consists of an electrochemical carbon monoxide sensor assembly coupled with a wireless transmitter. The transmitter can send alarm, trouble, end-of-life, tamper and low battery condition messages to the alarm panel.

Since there are no holes to drill or wires to run, you can preserve the beauty of the home or building while protecting its occupants from harmful carbon monoxide gas. The 5800CO is an ideal carbon monoxide detector for difficult to wire locations, applications where room aesthetics are critical or where hazardous materials exist.

What is Carbon Monoxide and How Can it Harm Consumers?
Carbon monoxide (CO) is an odorless, colorless, tasteless and highly toxic gas that is produced when fuels such as wood, gasoline, charcoal and oil are burned with insufficient air. The majority of residential and commercial fatalities caused from these fuels come from heating systems, engine powered tools and charcoal grills. Carbon monoxide is harmful when inhaled because it displaces oxygen in the blood and deprives the heart, brain and other vital organs of oxygen. Large amounts of CO can overcome a person in minutes without warning—causing them to lose consciousness and suffocate.

The 5800CO is designed to warn the end-user well before the CO reaches a fatal level. The detector’s CO sensitivity is evaluated to UL 2034.

KEY FEATURES

Electrochemical Sensing Technology – Electrochemical detectors are the newest, most refined CO detectors available and provide the most accurate measurement of CO concentration obtainable. They can take readings from low levels that may be hazardous over long periods of time to high concentrations that present an immediate danger.

Local Sounder – A built-in piezoelectric horn generates the ANSI S3.41 temporal 4 pattern in an alarm condition. The local sounder will also alert the end-user of other conditions such as low battery, detector trouble and end-of-life.

LED Status Indicators – Dual LEDs provide local visual indication of the detector’s status–including normal operation, alarm, low battery, trouble and end-of-life.

End of Life Timer – When the detector has reached the end of its life, the detector will send a trouble signal to the panel. This indicates that the CO sensor inside the detector has passed the end of its life and the detector needs to be replaced. The detector’s lifespan is approximately six years from the date of manufacture.

Full Supervision - The 5800CO is fully supervised to monitor for low battery, case tamper and trouble conditions.

Test/Hush Button - This dual purpose button allows the end-user to perform periodic testing of the detector. In the event of a CO alarm, this button will silence the local sounder alarm for a five minute period. Note: the Hush feature will not operate at levels above 350 ppm (parts per million) carbon monoxide.

Versatile Mounting - Whether you choose to affix the detector to the ceiling or a wall, mounting is made simple with the enclosed hardware. The mounting base has large mounting ports, which accommodate drywall anchors for easy surface mounting.

Tamper Protection and Tamper Resistant Element - The detector has a built-in tamper switch that can communicate back to the control panel in the event it is removed from the base. For an added level of security, the detector also includes a tamper resistant element that prevents removal from the base without the use of a tool.

Sump Pump Failure Warning Device

Sump Pump Failure Warning Device The open design of the CS 2029 allows for great flexibility. After being submerged in ground water, it dries faster exposed to the air. Installing the CS 2029 is very easy. Simply secure the base to the vertical flow pipe with the supplied tie-wrap. The CS 2029 can be mounted anywhere in the sump well by utilizing the molded boss and screw hole on the upper rear of the base. The boss conforms to the holes found in standard pipe strapping and once attached to the CS 2029, it can be mounted on any material or the sump well cover itself. If the contact should ever need replacing, it simply pulls out from its housing without removing the anchored base. The swing-arm can also be removed from the base for cleaning and inspecting. It operates by air being captured in the air-lock float by rising water. The float forces the swing-arm to rotate counter clockwise, swinging a magnet secured on the other end, away from the reed switch contact that is mounted on the top of the base.
